Certainly long enough for those of us looking for quality and experience to realize that this is the man who can supply both.

Paul’s the one who looks a little like Santa Claus.

Paul carries a broad array of rally wheels and Cragar cast wheels that will enhance the look of your hot rod, car, truck or trailer. These top of the line products along with excellent Remington T/A Radial tires make this a one stop shopping center for your vehicle.

Paul also features rims for ’67, ’68 and ’69 corvettes and the Z28 date stamped wheels.

Paul and his son Paul Jr. can be found on Road 24, Spaces 4,6,8,10 and Road 25, Spaces 3, 5,7 and 9 at every swap meet ready to help you dress up your vehicle.

Our last newsletter introduced you four young at heart cool guys. These gentlemen planned to drive their classic autos from Florida to Chicago to connect with old route 66 and take this historic highway all the way to the west coast.

Their schedule was to end up in Santa Monica on the west coast on June 5th, take a few pictures on the pier and then finish at the Pomona Swap Meet June 6th prior to starting the trek back to Florida.

We can now report that the trip was a huge success.

These road warriors, these heroes of the highway, princes of the pavement, turned back time and cruised to success in a 1949 Packard, a 1968 Cougar convertible, a 1964 ½ Mustang and a 1966 Mercury pickup.

Road warriors not looking any worse for the wear! Although Barry, driving the convertible might have been better off with a hat! But then what’s a little forehead peeling after this adventure.

Their trusty and beautifully restored and maintained vehicles are a testimonial to American ingenuity and historical manufacturing prowess.

To follow up with these road warriors, read their entry on their blog about their adventure, http://cruise66.blogspot.com/2010/06/pomona-swap-meet.html or see where their next adventure lies.

Gentlemen, the Pomona Swap Meet salute you and a big thank you for including us in your grand adventure.

What could be more beautiful than a Canadian sunset? A Canadian sunrise of course! That is, unless you are one of the thousands of Canadian motor heads, then your idea of true beauty is a fully restored, totally customized 1932 Ford Roadster.

Recently, our Pomona Swap Meet Vice President, Kim Cross has been receiving copies of “CANADIAN HOT RODS” magazine courtesy of Allen Anderson, editor at large of this outstanding publication. The magazine is chock full of articles, tech tips and great photos like the one above. It’s great to know that Canada has thousands of enthusiasts supporting and enjoying a passion for outstanding automotive works of art.

The Pomona Swap Meet salutes our friends to the north.

We are proud to support members of our industry, represented by businesses and enthusiasts around the world. I live in Lake Havasu City, Arizona and every winter we are delighted to host hundreds of Canadians visiting to escape their cold, COLD, winters. They golf, swim, sight see, and generally kick back and take in the sun. Several bring their hot rods and collector cars to participate in the many shows we have during the winter months.

Fred and his lovely wife Pat have been lifelong friends and we correspond during the year by written word. Letters actually, yes people still do write letters. It’s slower but more personal than email. At any rate Fred, who considers himself quite a humorous fellow started addressing his letters with the salutation, “to the bad and the beautiful”. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m flattered, but at 6 feet one inch and 230 pounds I’m certainly not beautiful – Ruggedly handsome, maybe. In my next letter I opened with the “to the bald and the beautiful” so there could be no question as to who was who.

Canadians are a laugh riot.

All you Canadian car fanatics, keep on “rodding” and “trucking”, stand up for our industry, fight for your freedoms or they will be slowly eroded.

There will always be those small groups with loud voices that will push to have you conform to what they consider is right and proper for the world and for you and me.

What is right for me is to build hot rods and collector cars. How about you?
